Robert Havely 'Bob' Roberts, age 60, of Gallipolis, died Thursday December 4, 2003 at his residence. Born March 7, 1943 in Gallipolis, he was the son of Robert E. and Ruth Wells Roberts Jr. of Gallipolis. In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Sherry Lee McCumber Roberts who he married July 28, 1966 in Gallipolis, three children: Kelly (Gregory) Kay of Letart, WV; Robert Earl (Tamiko) Roberts III of Okinawa, Japan; and John Wayne Roberts of Columbus. 6 Grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Kerri, Anne, Katrina, Kay Leigh, Kimberly Anne Kay, and Bryce Roberts; 1 Brother: Joe Keith (Cherlyn) Roberts of Bidwell; Grandmother: Belva Wells of Gallipolis; A Step Niece: Mandy.
Bob was a former employee of the Kyger Creek Power Plant, and a United States Army Veteran, having served in Germany.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday December 8, 2003 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home with Pastor Wayne Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 5-8 P.M. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Gallia County Animal Welfare League.
