Roger Dale Ireland, age 54, of Chillicothe, died Thursday December 11, 2003 at the Adena Medical Center in Chillicothe. Born July 2, 1949 in Wellston, he was the son of the late Valie Edward Ireland and Juanita Ruth Harrison Ireland of Gallipolis.
Roger was a construction worker and attended the Addison Freewill Baptist Church.
He is survived by: Wife: Melissa Ann Dean Ireland who he married January 26, 1992 in Oak Hill; 5 Daughters: Kimberly Davis of Colorado, Shantel (Clay) White of London, OH, Daniell Ireland of London, Amanda Ireland of Springfield, OH and Jessica Ireland of Springfield.; 7 Grandchildren; 9 Brothers and Sisters: John (Viola) Ireland of Springfield, Bryant (Debbie) Ireland of London, Earl (Teresa) Ireland of Gallipolis, David (Teresa) Ireland of London, Ruby (Raymond) Mercer of Springfield, Marie (Jim) Pierce of Columbus, Viola (Kenneth) Blazer of Gallipolis, Catherine (Harold) Frisby of Wellston, and Lisa (Tom) Kemp of Vinton; Several Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday December 16, 2003 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home with Rev. Rick Barcus officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 6-9 P.M. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the funeral home.
