Ehel Faye Kuhn, age 88, of Gallipolis, died Tuesday, January 13, 2004 at Holzer Medical Center. Born July 12, 1915 in Clay Township, Gallia County, she was the daughter of the late Walter 'Watt' and Minnie Hively Kuhn. In addition to her parents she was preceded by a 1/2 brother Wymon Caldwell, by 3 brothers Sam Kuhn, Hollis Kuhn, and James Luther Kuhn, by a 1/2 sister Ovie Belcher, by 2 sisters Lois Scarberry and Vada Halley, and by a son in law, Deryl Ellcessor.
Ethel retired from the housekeeping department at Holzer Medical Center, and was a member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survive by: 2 Daughters: Barbara Ellcessor and Virginia (Jack) Layne all of Gallipolis; 4 Grandchildren: Richard Layne of Pt. Pleasant, Timothy Layne of Gallipolis, Dwayne Layne of Pt. Pleasant, and Pamela Chapman of Gallipolis; 8 Great Grandchildren; 1 Sister: Clarabelle Facemire of Gallipolis; Several Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday January 20, 2004 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home with Pastor John Jackson and Rev. Alfred Holley officiating. Burial will follow in Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M.
