Alta E. Dailey, age 96, of Crown City, died Wednesday January 21,2004 at the Altenheim Nursing Home in Strongsville, Ohio. Born February 20, 1907 in Gallia County, she was the daughter of the late James and Rebecca Sheets Saunders. In 1926 she married David Lawson Dailey in Guyan Township and he preceded her in 1980. Also preceding her are 3 Sisters and 3 Brothers.
Alta retired in 1974 from the Gallipolis Developmental Center and was a member of Good Hope Church. She was also a member of the Riverside Study Club.
She is survived by: 1 Daughter: Beryl Ruth Hill of Berea, Ohio; 4 Grandchildren, and 8 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday January 25, 2004 at Good Hope Church with Pastor Jim Lusher officiating. Burial will follow in Good Hope Cemetery. Friends may call at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home on Saturday from 6-8 P.M.
