Lizzie McGinnis, age 71, of Patriot, died Monday January 26, 2004 at her residence. Born July 3, 1932 in Ligon, Kentucky, daughter of the late Milford and Mary Isaacs Reynolds. On December 21, 1955 she married Roy F. McGinnis who also precedes her. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded by 4 Brothers: Earl, Rufus, Roland, and Edrow; by 2 Sisters: Mary Alice Wray and Etherl Reynolds, and by an infant daughter Debbie K. McGinnis.
Lizzie retired after 22 years of service from the Gallipolis Developmental Center. She was a member of Chapel Hill Church of Christ, and she enjoyed both quilting and painting.
She is survived by: 1 Daughter: Joyce McGinnis of Lancaster; 2 Sons: David Lee (Camille) McGinnis of Patriot, and Jeff (Teresa) McGinnis of Patriot; 4 Grandchildren: Brittany, Gregery, David and Jonathan; 1 Brother: Aaron (Jeri) Reynolds of Gallipolis.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday January 30, 2004 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home with Victor Jarrell officiating. Burial will follow in Old Pine Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-9 P.M.
