I am so incredibly sorry for your family's loss. I haven't seen JR since I left school, so I just recieved the unfortunate news. I have never met someone with more spirit than JR. He always laughed so loud, and gave the best hugs. I was so fortunate to have him as a neighbor, but even more so to have him as a friend. I thank God that I was lucky enough to have JR in my life --- and now he lives on in my heart. I wish you all the comfort in the world. God Bless.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your son. May God give you peace and comfort. Having lost my step-son and grandson there is no loss harder to deal with. My prayers will be with you and your family. My brother Billy sends me clippings from the paper of home news so I am late in sending this. God Bless You!

I started off with the intention of offering my condolences and letting Jaret’s family and friends know that you’re all in my thoughts and prayers, but Jaret was such an incredible friend that a “few words” wouldn’t suffice. Although I'd just met Jaret in October 2004, he was certainly a cherished friend. It's not everyday that you meet someone as exceptional as Jaret. Words cannot describe Jaret's outgoing personality and the affect he had on those who came in contact with him. Jaret knew no strangers and was everybody's friend. His positive nature and that million-dollar smile always seemed to make even the toughest situation seem okay. To the Boothe family - I never had the opportunity to meet you, but even at that, I know through many conversations with Jaret, that it would've been an honor to meet those who played such an influential role in the upbringing of such an incredible person. To Jaret's friends - specifically Dusty, Lucas, Jess and Chris and Carol - you were all an inspiration to Jaret in your own way. The stories he shared of his adventures with each of you were never ending. He cherished each of you as if you were all members of his own family. To all of Jaret's family and friends, I would like to extend my deepest condolences during this trying time. We’ve all lost someone who has touched our lives in a most inspirational way. Let us all be thankful for and remember all of the wonderful times we've all shared with Jaret and remember the impact he had on each of us and all those with whom he came into contact. Be at peace knowing Jaret was a very happy individual - inside and out. Jaret was accomplished and very proud of his achievements. He'd want everyone to know that he's okay and he's still with each of us in spirit. Although the feeling of just finding out this tragic news today still leaves me in a state complete dismay, I will not delay my quest to begin carrying on the legacy Jaret lived every day; and I would encourage all of those who loved Jaret to also take his lead – do what you need to do to be happy...embrace life...find the positives in the negatives...do unto others...and be willing to take chances. Not only am I certain this is the advice Jaret would offer each and every one of us in this situation, but I'm convinced he'd be honored to know just how much of an impact he had on those around him and to realize the degree to we each admired, respected and loved him. Jaret Rae “JR” Boothe - an extraordinary friend who I loved greatly and will miss always. God bless you all.

Dear Mr and Mrs Boothe, I knew JR through school and friends since the summer of 2001. I think it's important that you know he was source of positive energy around the campus. He was always smiling about something and was one of the friendliest guys I knew. We hung out between classes and sometimes on weekends. His presence will be missed, but we are thankful for the time we did spend with him. I'd like to extend my deepest sympathy and condolences.

Dear Boothe Family...I just wanted to let you know that you have been in my thoughts and prayers throughout the last week as you have gone through this trying time. I did not know Jaret very well but I have known your family through 4-H since I was a small child. I was a fellow OVB scholar with Jaret and know that he was an extrordinary individual to accomplish all that he did. I know that there are no words to comfort you in this time of grief...but just know that we are all thinking of you and praying for you. Erin (Deel) Dailey

Dear Mr. Boothe, I'm sure you don't remember me, as I was one of your students a long time ago. I heard of your son's death and I wanted to express my sadness for you and your wife. You were an excellent teacher to me and I have only respect for you. Senseless loss like this is so devastating. Please know that my family and I are thinking about you and wish you clear and loving memories of your son's time with you. Cara Neal-Bambenek Gallia Academy HS, Class of 1980

The greatest comfort I can give is the knowledged that I am on my knees, making mention of you in my prayers! The only one who can trully give you strength right now is Christ and it is through his blood that His grace becomes sufficent to you in these times of weekness! I can not imagine the pain, however I know that God is there ready to blanket you in his love. May you all seek his face and find true comfort in His grace. Keep lookin' to Jesus

Mr. & Mrs. Boothe; I just wanted to let you know how sadden I was to hear the news of your son. I do not know the pain that you are feeling, but as a parent my heart goes out to you and your family. It seems so unfair for a young life to be taken like this, no parent should have to go though this. May God be with you and help you though this. Robert Holley, 1981 Grad of NGHS
