Wilmer David Martin, age 80, of New Carlisle, Ohio and formerly of Gallia County, died Sunday March 21, 2004 at his residence. Born December 22, 1923 in Northup, OH. He was the son of the late James Everett and Celia Fuller Martin. He was a retired employee of the Dayton Fabricated Steel Company and a World War II Army Veteran.
He is survived by: 1 Son: Wilmer David Martin II of New Carlisle; 1 Granddaughter: Patricia Martin of Columbus; Former Wife: Arta Ann Gauch of New Carlisle; 2 Sisters: Effie McManus of Xenia, OH and Goldie Saunders of Patriot, OH.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday March 25, 2004 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home. Burial will follow in Centenary Cemetary. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until time of service. Military funeral honors will be conducted at the cemetery by the Gallia County Veterans Organizations.
