Nelson R. Bostic, age 76, of Gallipolis, died Monday morning March 29, 2004 at the VA Medical Center in Chillicothe. Born July 12, 1927 in Gallia County, son of the late Gomer and Effie Meadows Bostic. In addition to his parents he was preceded by a sister, Dorothy L. Rayburn.
Nelson was a United States Army Air Force Veteran, a retired boilermaker from Local 667 in Charleston, and a member of the VFW # 4464.
He is survived by: Wife: Elnora Adkins Bostic of Gallipolis; 3 Children: Linda (John) Sager of Gallipolis, Nelson (Janice) Bostic Jr. of Ashland, OH, and Carolyn Wasch of Gallipolis; 5 Grandchildren: Michelle Whitt of Gallipolis, Ashley Wasch of Gallipolis, Lance Bostic of Ashland, OH, Brad Bostic of Ashland, OH, and Adam Wasch of Gallipolis; 1 Great Grandchild: Cameron Whitt of Gallipolis.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday April 1, 2004 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home with Rev. Bruce Unroe officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home of Wednesday from 6-9 P.M. Military Funeral Honors will be presented by the Gallia County Veterans Organizations.
Pallbearers will be: Lance Bostic, Brad Bostic, Adam Wasch, John Sager, Ron Henry, and Randy Finney. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the charity of your choice in Nelson's memory.
