Fred G. Hamrick, age 64, of Orlando, Florida and formerly of Gallia County, died Monday March 29, 2004 in the Florida Hospital-Orlando. Born November 19, 1939 in Gallipolis, he was the son of the late Fred E. and Audrey Freeman Hamrick.
Fred was a 1963 graduate of Rio Grande College; he later attended the Ohio State University, and graduated with a Master Degree in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina in 1970. He was a schoolteacher in Urbana and in Mt. Vernon, he later worked for the Sergeant Welch Company as a salesman, and finally he worked with his son in the real estate business in Florida.
He is survived by 2 Children: Bradley Hamrick of Orlando, FL, and Kesha (Jeff) Johnson of Atlanta, GA; 2 Grandchildren: Andrew and Audrey Johnson; 1 Brother: Ross Hamrick of Rio Grande.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday April 3, 2004 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home, with Rev. Luther Tracy officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday one hour prior to services.
