Nora Patricia "Patty" Welch Ranegar, age 67, of Cheshire, Ohio 'Went to be with the Lord' on Saturday April 10, 2004 at her residence. She passed away quietly with her husband and children at her bedside. Born October 28, 1936 in Wellsburg, West Virginia, daughter of the late Walter William Welch and Wilma Leona Calendine Welch. In addition to her parents she was preceded by 3 Sisters: Dorothy Pollock, Maxine Bishop, and Janet Dawson; 6 Brothers: Richard, Lloyd E., Robert, Charles, Thomas, and William Welch.

She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, John Ranegar, whom she married on December 10, 1954 in Wellsburg, West Virginia. Patty was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, taking pride in her close knit family. She was a homemaker and a retired employee of K-Mart. She was a member of Gallipolis Christian Church and was a member of The Eastern Star; Cheshire Chapter.

She is survived by her Husband: John Ranegar of Cheshire, OH; 2 Sons: John (Jodi) Ranegar and Charles (Jennifer) Ranegar both of Lancaster, OH; 2 Daughters: Pamela (Keith) Dye of Cheshire, OH and Shelly Ranegar of Gallipolis, OH; 1 Brother: Jerry (Sharon) Welch of Wellsburg, WV; 2 Sisters: AnnLee Johnson and Betty Ferrelli both of Follansbee, WV; 8 Grandchildren: Amanda, Edward, Lauren, and Olivia Dye, Garrett, Blake, Ashley, and Kyle Ranegar; 2 Brother-in-laws: William Sonny Dawson of Follansbee, WV and Frank Bishop of Weirton, WV; Very Close Friends: Gloria and William Bonar of West Liberty, WV.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Wednesday April 14, 2004 at Gallipolis Christian Church with Pastor Denny Coburn and Pastor Mike Lyn officiating. Burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home on Tuesday April13, 2004 from 2-4 and 6-9 P.M. and at the church on Wednesday one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the American Cancer Sociey.

Shelly and your family, I wanted to say that you are in my prayers. I wish you God's comfort and strength during this time. Mother's are a blessing from God and remember her and treasure your time with her until you meet again.
