William Eddy 'Bill' Wisemandle, age 81, of Bidwell, died Thursday morning May 6, 2004 at the Arbors at Gallipolis. Born August 10, 1922 in Bainbridge, OH. He was the son of the late Peter and Elizabeth Jacobs Wisemandle. In addition to his parents he was preceded by 3 Brothers: John, Peter 'Pete', and Henry Wisemandle; and by 2 Sisters: Mary Phillips, and Elizabeth Mitchell.
Bill was a self employed carpenter, and a Minister of the Gospel. He pastored Morgan Center Wesleyan Church for 11 years, and also pastored several other area churches. He was a World War II Navy Veteran.
He is survived by his Wife of 62 years, Julia Burke Wisemandle whom he married May 31, 1941; along with 2 Daughters: Jean (Bob) Wray of Bidwell, and JoAnn McGraw of Bidwell; 6 Grandchildren: Alena (Peter) Prysch of New York, Staff Sergeant Mark Allen (Wanda) Wray of North Carolina, Private First Class William Eddy Ellis (Amy) Wray of North Carolina, Misty Michelle (Kurt) Day of Gallipolis, Mindele (Sam) Smith of Gallipolis and Lawrence L.J. McGraw II of Lexington, KY; 14 Great Grandchildren: Nathaniel, Timothy, Rachael, and Josiah Grubbs, Tyler Randi, Bidget and Mark Wray Jr., Shay and Jacob Crews, Britney Welch, Emily and Chase Smith; 1 Sister: Christina Bard of Springfield, OH.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday May 9, 2004 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home with Pastor Roy Fannin officiating. Burial will follow in Morgan Center Cemetery. Friends may call at the funerl home on Saturday from 6-9 P.M. Military Funeral Honors will be presented at the cemtery by the Gallia County Veterans Organizations.
