Alma Beatrice Sanders, age 85, of Crown City, died Tuesday morning May 25, 2004 at Holzer Senior Care Center. Born September 20, 1918 in Gallia County, she was the daughter of the late James and Cora Beaver Caldwell. In addition to her parents she was preceded by her husband Clarence Blaine Sanders, by a daughter, Beverly Queen, by 1 grandson, and by 3 Sisters and 4 Brothers.
Alma was a homemaker, she attended the Mercerville Baptist Church, and was a member of Siloam Church.
She is survived by 7 Children: Shirley (Loren) Nolan of Vinton, Donovan Sanders of Gallipolis, Dillard (Luree) Sanders of Scottown, Elaine (Ronald) Barnes of Crown City, Carolyn Lockhart Donett of Crown City, Brenda (Larry) Burris, and Faron (Allison) Sanders of Gallipolis; 23 Grandchildren; 35 Great Grandchildren; and 5 Great Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday May 28, 2004 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home with Pastors Bruce Unroe and Larry Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-9 P.M. Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.
