Wendell Lee Rossiter, age 60, of Gallipolis, died Wednesday June 30, 2004 at Holzer Medical Center. Born February 3, 1944 in Scottown, Ohio. He was the son of the late Ova Ray Rossiter and the late Nancy Marie Caldwell Rossiter. In addition to his parents he was preceded by 1 brother, Carl Rossiter.
Wendell was a Heavy Equipment Operator. He served in the National Guard from 1965 to 1971.
He is survived by: Wife: Linda Harrison Rossiter of Gallipolis; 6 Children: Wendell (Misty) Rossiter of Gallipolis, Carla Sue (Scott) Russell of Mason, WV, Danny Harrison of Rock Lick, OH, Anthony (Stephanie) Harrison of Northup, Roger (Janet) Harrison of Vinton, and Sherry Harrison of Gallipolis; 9 Grandchildren; 4 Brothers: Merrill Ray (Norma) Rossiter of Scottown, Bernard L. (Shelba) Rossiter of Gallipolis, Gary Dean (Barb) Rossiter of Bidwell, and Roger Dale Rossiter of Gallipolis; 1 Sister: Wanda Lou (Jim) Mohler of Middleport.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday July 3, 2004 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Rev. Alfred Holley officiating. Burial will follow in Swan Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 6-9 P.M. Full Military Funeral Honors will be presented at the cemetery by the Gallia County Veterans Organizations.
