John Marshall Stepp, age 54, of Crown City, died Friday July 9, 2004 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Huntington. Born June 19, 1950 in Paintsville, KY, he was the son of the late Charles Stepp and Margaret Wiles Stepp. John was a carpenter and a United States Army Veteran having served in Vietnam.

He is survived by his Mother: Margaret Wiles Stepp of Ray; Wife: Vickie Lynn Henry Stepp of Crown City; Son: Christopher Stepp of Crown City; Stepson: Zachary Fulks of Crown City; 2 Step-Daughters: Jonni Kaye (Rusty) Davis of Crown City, and Julie Williams of Crown City; 5 Grandchildren: Haleigh and Ryan Fulks of Crown City, Kayelynn, Owen, and Gregory Davis of Crown City; 2 Brothers: Earl 'Eddie' (Jackie) Stepp of Asheville, and Daivd (Conceta) Stepp of Ray.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday July 12, 2004 at Providence Missionary Baptist Church, with Rev. A. B. Maloy officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery. Friends may call at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home on Sunday from 6-9 P.M. Military Honors will be presented at the cemetery by the Gallia County Veterans Organizations.
