Sharon Lee Clark, age 76, of Hilliard, Ohio, died Monday at the Arbors of Hilliard. Born on March 21, 1928 in Gallia County, to the late Elmer Lee Clark and Lutie Catherine Walters Clark.
He graduated from Gallia Academy High School and continued his education at Rio Grande College, where he received his Bachelors in Secondary Education. He taught school in the Bidwell-Porter and Washington Elementary Schools. He later went to work for the Department of Veterans Affairs, from which he retired after 32 years of service. He was a United States Army Veteran, and a member of The Dublin Baptist Church.
He is survived by his Wife: Lena B. Houck Clark of Hilliard; 2 Sons: Gregory (Melinda) Clark of Columbus, Grant (Cheryl) Clark of Annandale, VA; 1 Grandson: Benjamin; 2 Step-Granddaughters: Lisa and Angie; 2 Step Great Granddaughters: Alexis and Kalie; 1 Brother: Wayne (Mary) Clark of Renton, WA.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday September 2, 2004 at Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home 810 Second Ave. Gallipolis, with Pastor Darrel Gabbard officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Street Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until time of service. Military Funeral Honors to be presented at the cemetery by the Gallia County Veterans Organizations.
