1921 - 2004

Bazil 'Bert' Pack, age 83, of Gallipolis, died Tuesday October 26, 2004 at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster, Ohio. Born August 21, 1921 in Streeter, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Samuel John Tilden Pack and Margaret Elizabeth Dunbar Pack. In additon to his parents he was preceded by his wife, Gladys Helen 'Peg' Pack, 2 Brothers and 4 Sisters.

Bert was a retired Electrician and a World War II Army Veteran. He was a member of the Rhoda Ann Memorial Missionary Baptist Church in Streeter, Siloam Masonic Lodge #456 in Cheshire, The Aladdin Temple Shrine, and The Gallipolis Shrine Club. He was also a former York Rite Mason. He was also a retired member of the IBEW.

He is survived by 3 Children: Bunny Belville of Columbus, 'Sonny' Bert Pack Jr. of Pickerington, and Ronnie Pack Sr. of Canal Winchester; 2 Sisters: Mildred Pack Hatcher and Marie Pack Lilly both of Jumping Branch, WV; 7 Grandchildre, and 5 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday October 30, 2004 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home 810 Second Ave. Gallipolis, Ohio 45631, with Earl Owens officiating. Entombment will follow in Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and 7 P.M. to 9 P.M. There will be a Masonic Service at 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home on Friday. Military Funeral Honors will be conducted at the graveside by the Gallia County Veterans Organizations. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Siloam Lodge #456 Cheshire, Ohio or to The Rhoda Ann Memorial Missionary Baptist Church 6890 Trail Bend Canal Winchester, Ohio 43110. Pallbearers will be: Stan Belville, Shawn Belville, Scott Johnson, Mike Pack, Alex Conrad, Ronnie Pack Jr., Nick Johnson, and Kyle Johnson.

Dear Bunny, Sonny, Ronnie, and families, Dick and I were very sorry to hear about the death of Uncle Bert. We want you to know we are thinking of you at this difficult time and understand the pain you are suffering. We send our prayers, sympathy, and love to all of you. May your memories help to erase some of the grief.

I just saw in the paper that your father had pasted away. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family through this time. I am sure he is in a much better place now even though he will be missed terribly. If you need anything please let us know. Terry, Tina, Amber and Sean
