Garold O. Beaver, age 79, passed away Tuesday morning January 25, 2005 in the home of his daughter, after months of descending health. Born May 4, 1925 in Gallipolis, he was the son of the late Homer and Delma Harrison Beaver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife of 50 years, Betty Swain Beaver, by his twin brother, Harold Beaver, brother, Fred Beaver and sister, Anita Beaver Brown. Garold was a World War II Navy Veteran.
He is survived by Son and Daughter in law: Danny and Charlotte (Kunkle) Beaver of London; Daughter and Son in law: Luanna and Brian Stoble of Springfiled; Grandsons: Dan (Lynda) Beaver of Champaign, IL, Chad Beaver of London, Cory Beaver of London, John (Holly) Rust of Galloway, and David (Cheryl) Rust of Springfield; Great Grandchildren: Jacob Rust and Megan Beaver; Also survived by many loved nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday January 28, 2005 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home 810 Second Ave. Gallipolis, with Rev. Ralph Workman officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 A. M. until the time of service. Military Funeral Honors will be presented at the cemetery by the Gallia County Veterans Organizations. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Hospice of Community Hospital 2615 East High Street Springfield, Ohio 45501. The family is very thankful to the wonderful care and kindness given from the doctors, nurses, and aides with Community Hospital Hospice who assisted with his care these past few months.
