Richard Dwayne 'Mitch' Mitchell, age 68, of Gallipolis, died Monday February 7, 2005 at his residence. Born December 24, 1936 in Gallipolis, he was the son of the lae Margaret Ellen Mitchell. In addition to his mother he was preceded by a brother John Edward Mitchell.
He was a retired employee of the Shell Chemical Company in Apple Grove, WV. and a former employee of Holzer Medical Center.
He is survived by 1 Sister: Betty France of Gallipolis; 7 Nieces and Nephews: Denise France of Gallipolis, Tony Watson of Gallipolis, Johnny Mitchell of California, Danny Mitchell of Gallipolis, Shaquellia Lewis of Gallipolis, Dante Lewis of Gallipolis, and Katelyn Watson of Gallipolis; Also survived by serveral cousins.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday February 11, 2005 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home with Rev. Calvin Minnis officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Street Cememtery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-9 P.M. Pallbearers will be: Thomas Westbrook, Jimmy Mitchell, Dwight Mitchell, Dennis Mitchell Jr., Charles Lewis III, and Larry Dudley; Honorary Pallbearers: Ronald Carr and Chuck Lewis.
