William A. 'Bill' Davis, age 59, of Port Orange, Florida and formerly of Gallipolis, died Wednesday February 9, 2005 in Florida. Born December 6, 1945 in Waukegan, Illinois, he was the son of the late James N. M. Davis and Esther Paulson Davis of Gallipolis. In addition to his father he was preceded by a sister Jan Karen Davis, and by a brother, James N. M. Davis Jr.

Bill was a machinist with Advance Ordinance in Daytona Beach, Florida. He was a United States Air Force Vetran. He attended the United States Air Force Academy and also attended Ohio University.

In addition to his mother he is survived by Wife: Linda Davis of Port Orange, Florida; Son: James Davis of Houston, Texas; Daughter: Christi (Robby) Daniel of Longview, Texas; 4 Grandchildren: Micah, Tyler, Austin, and Zachary Daniel; Also surviving are his 2 best friends: Pepper and Jake.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday February 12, 2005 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home. Burial will follow in Mound Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 Noon until the time of service. Military Funeral Honors will be presented at the cemetery by the Gallia County Veterans Organizations.
