1931 - 2005

Kathryn Louise Wiseman, age 73, of Gallipolis, died Thursday morning March 3, 2005 at her residence. Born July 18, 1931 in Jackson, she was the daughter of the late Virgil Hudson Edwards and the late Alice Vermillion Edwards. In additon to her parents she was preceded by her husband Ernest Merrill 'Ike' Wiseman and by one brother William James Edwards.

Kathryn was a homemaker, a former board member of the Our House Museum. She was a charter member of the Newcomer's Club, which later became the Jr. Womens Club. She also served on the Alter Guild at St. Peters Episcopal Church.

Kathryn is survived by 3 Children: Jan (Jerry) Koronich of Gallipolis, Tami (Tom) VanAuker of Akron, and David (Rita) Wiseman of Gallipolis; 9 Grandchildren: Jed and Ben Doolittle, Patrick, Peter, and Adam VanAuker, Brian and Natalie Burton, Sara and Evan Wiseman. Kathryn will lovingly be missed by all her family and her many many friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday March 6, 2005 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home with Father Joseph Trapp officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. The Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Holzer Hospice 100 Jackson Pike, or to the Our House Museum 432 First Ave. or to the Ariel Theater 426 Second Ave. all of Gallipolis, Ohio 45631.

Please accept my deep sympathy in the loss of "Sis". I was a close friend of the Edwards family and Bill and I were close friends and classmates at JHS. We all respected "Sis" and all who knew her share your loss.
