Belva Wells, age 101, of Gallipolis, died Thursday evening March 10, 2005 at Scenic Hills Nursing Center. Born February 13, 1904 in the Mercerville Community, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Mamie Leaper Stevers. On February 3, 1923 she married Haskell H. Wells, who preceded her on October 2, 1986. She was also preceded by one son Paul Wells, by a half brother Paul Stevers, by a daughter in law, Treva Wells, and by a grandson, Robert Roberts.
Mrs. Wells was a homemaker.
She is survived by:
3 Children: Ruth (Bob) Roberts of Gallipolis, Kenneth (Della) Wells of Chillicothe, Glenna Mae (Gleen) Roberts of Gallipolis. 11 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren, and many Great Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Tuesday March 15, 2005 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Unroe officiating. Burial will follow in Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 5-8pm. www.timeformemory.com/whw
