Luella Frances Levoff, age 82, of Kingsport, TN, and formerly of Gallipolis, died Sunday morning March 13, 2005 at the Holston Valley Hospital in Kingsport. Born September 18, 1922 in Gallipolis, she was the daughter of the late Herman Asa and Ella P. Swisher Condee. In addition to her parents she was preceded by her husband Harold E. Levoff.
Mrs. Levoff was a 1940 graduate of Gallia Academy High School; she received her B.S. degree with honors from the Ohio State University, and later received her Masters in Music from Columbia University. She taught school and was an assistant Superintendent for over 45 years in the Valley Stream, New York area.
She is survived by: 1 Brother: Robert (Dorothy) Condee of Gallipolis, 1 Sister: Norah Carol Straight of Blountville, TN, 5 Nephews, and 2 Nieces.
Graveside services will be 11:00 AM. Thursday March 17, 2005 in Mound Hill Cemetery. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be given to your favorite charity in her memory. Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
