1926 - 2005

Francis O'Dell Crouse, age 79, of Gallipolis, died Wednesday morning, March 30, 2005 at the Miami Valley Medical Center in Dayton. Born January 28, 1926 in Gallia County, he was the son of the late William and Effie Eblin Crouse, in addition to his parents he was preceded by a Brother: Fred Crouse.

Francis was a retired salesman for the Evans Packing Company, and a United States Navy Veteran. He was a member of American Legion #27 and attended Grace United Methodist Church.

He is survived by 3 Children: Marilyn (Roger) Evans of Brookville, Ohio, Kathy Ann (Mark) Souders of Centerville, and Jim Crouse of Gallipolis; 3 Grandchildren: Todd and Scott Evans and Leah Souders; 1 Great Grandchild: Grace Evans; A Special Friend and the Mother of his Children: Betty Crouse of Gallipolis; 1 Brother: Harley Crouse of Gallipolis; 2 Sisters: Dorothy Mefford of Ewington and Betty J. Davis of Gallipolis.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday April 2, 2005 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home. Burial will follow in Ohio Valey Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 5-8 P.M. Military Funeral Honors will be presented at the cemetery by the Gallia County Veterans Organizations.
