John E. Sturgeon, age 43, of Bidwell, died Saturday evening December 21, 2002 in Gallipolis. Born July 23, 1959 in Mason County, WV. He was the son of Lewis Sturgeon of Gallipolis Ferry, WV and the late Maxine Ellen Sturgeon. He was an automotive mechanic.
In addition to his father he is survived by 3 Sons: John Sturgeon of Bidwell, Brian Sturgeon of Gallipolis, and Joshua Sturgeon of Gallipolis. 1 Granddaughter: Kalynn Sturgeon. 3 Sisters: Delva Diane Newhouse of Virginia, Sonya Sturgeon of Georgia, and Greta Sturgeon of Cleveland. 2 Brothers: David Sturgeon of Gallipolis Ferry and Lewis Sturgeon of Mercerville. Special Friends: Mary Christy, Jeana Christy, Billijo Christy, and Keaton Rylee Christy all of Bidwell.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday December 27, 2002 at the Waugh-Halley Wood funeral home with Pastor Elmer Geiser officiating. Burial will follow in Vinton Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 6-8 P.M.
Pall Bearers will be: John Sturgeon, Brian Sturgeon, Chris Sturgeon, Mike Sturgeon, Greg Halfhill, and Anthony Shipkosky.
