Mary Ellen Brumfield, age 101, of Crown City, died Monday December 23, 2002 at her residence. Born June 21, 1901 in Gallia County, daughter of the late Fred and Rosina A. Niday Lear. In additon to her parents she was preceded by her husband Hershel Robert Brumfield, by 2 daughters: Winona Gooderham, and Elizabeth Montomery, and by 7 Brothers and 2 Sisters.
She was a homemaker, and a member of Siloam Church. She attended both Bethlehem Church and Victory Baptist Church.
She is survived by: 3 Sons: Forrest Edward Brumfield of Omaha, Texas, Franklin Lee Brumfield of Crown City, and Robert Frances Brumfield of Crown City. 11 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren, and 15 Great Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday December 28, 2002 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home with Rev. Gary Warner officiating. Burial will follow in Old Mercerville Cemetery.
