Madeline L. Rees, age 87 , of Gallipolis, died Tuesday December 24, 2002 at Wyngate at Gallipolis. Born May 30, 1915 in Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Ray W. and Edna Foulke Campbell. In additon to her parents she was preceded by her husband D. Donald Rees, and by 1 brother and 1 sister.
She was a member of Nebo Church, The Gallia County Council on Aging, Public Employees Retirement Association, Permanent Member of the Welsh American Heritage Museum, and Retired member of the American Red Cross.
Madeline was a retired assistant manager of the G.C. Murphy store, and retired Clerk and Register of Vital Statistics for the Gallia County Health Dept. She is survived by 1 Sister Doris Stone of Gallipolis and by many loved nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday December 29, 2002 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home with Pastor Katherine Loxley officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday one hour prior to services.
