Michael Irwin 'Mickey' Hardway, age 67, of Grove City, died July 8, 2005 at his residence. Born June 4, 1938 in Gallia Couty, he graduated from Galia Academy High School in 1956. He was formerly employed at the Goodyear Plant in Apple Grove, he later moved to Columbus where he was employed by the Ohio Furniture Company, he then worked for Goodwill Industries in Columbus, from which he retired in 2003. He was preceded by his father Howard Shuler Hardway in 1970, and by a brother, Charles Hardway in 1936.
He is survived by his Mother: Mildred Williams Hardway Jenkins of Gallipolis; Wife: Brenda Hollens Esterbrook Hardway of Grove City; 4 Children: Michael I. Hardway Jr. of Cross Lanes, WV, Marc K. (Kay) Hardway of Cheshire, Michelle (Darrell) Esterbrook Bruffy of Columbus, and Jimmy Esterbrook of Florida; 5 Grandchildren: Brittany and Dayton Hardway, Darchelle and Jessica Bruffy, and Ashlee Esterbrook; 2 Sisters: Ann (Richard) Hardway Brown of Gallipolis, and Karen (Dan) Hardway Black of Rapid City, SD; 3 Nieces: Morgan Black, Sandy Bledsoe, and Cindy Fellure, 1 Great Niece: Amber Fellure and 1 Great Nephew: Travis Fellure.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday July 14, 2005 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Stockton officating. Burial will follow in Crown City Cemetery. Friends may call at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6-9 P.M.
