Marjorie Louise Robinson, 89, of Gallipolis, died December 25, 2002, at Holzer Senior Care Center. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Ralph O. Robinson, on December 31, 2000. She was born in Gallipolis on June 12, 1913, the daughter of the late William Mercer Moore and Hattie Lott Moore. She was preceded in death by a brother, William M. Moore, Jr.
Marjorie was co-valedictorian of the Gallia Academy High School class of 1931. She was a member of the Vernon Chapter of the National Honor Society. She attended the Holzer School of Nursing. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church. Marjorie was an accomplished seamstress. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by three daughters, Jane (Robert) Woodward and Anne Robinson of Gallipolis and Martha Schmick of St. Louis, Missouri. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Angela Elliot-Steger and Bob Woodward of Gallipolis, Kimberly Woodward of Wilmington, North Carolina, Lisa Mallory of Atlanta, Georgia, and Teresa Schmick of St. Louis, Missouri. Marjorie had a very special great-grandson: Colton Eryk Steger of Gallipolis.
Friends may call at Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home on Saturday, December 28, 2002, from 6 to 9 P.M. Services will be Sunday December 29, 2002, at 2:00 P.M. at the Grace United Methodist Church Chapel, with Pastor Robert Ingram officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Street Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contibutions may be made to the Dr. Samuel L. Bossard Library or to the Grace United Methodist Church Memorial Fund designated for the Garden of Peace and Love.
Pallbearers will be Bob Woodward, Bob Woodward Jr., Derek Moore, G. E. Woodward, Daniel Woodward, and Jeff Canaday.
