Charles Lester Stone, age 67, of Gallipolis, died Tuesday morning July 26, 2005 at his residence. Born October 18, 1937 in Pt. Pleasant, he was the son of the late George Franklin Stone and the late Virginia Frances Crump Stone. In addition to his parents he was preceded by a son, William Golden Stone, by a grandson, Ethan Stone, and by a sister, Patricia Benson.
Charles was a retired drywall hanger and served for 4 years in the National Guard.
He is survived by 5 Daughters: Alisa Austin, Lyronda Delgado, and Trudy (Terry) Queen all of Gallipolis, Martha (David) Scobie, and Cassandra Stone both of California; 1 Son: Charles A. (Christy) Stone of North Carolina; 14 Grandchildren; and 5 Great Grandchildren; 2 Wives: Joyce Schug of Gallipolis and Sharon Rabner of California; 2 Brothers: Van Franklin Stone of Pt. Pleasant and Larry Stone of Seattle, WA; 1 Sister: Judy Stone of Louisville, KY; Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.
Funeral services will be 6:00 P.M. Thursday July 28, 2005 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Isaiah Crump officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday 1 hour prior to services.
