Thelma M.Gilkison, age 87, of Gallipolis, died Friday october 28, 2005 at Holzer medical Center. Born October 20, 1918 in Greenbottom, WV. she was the daughter of the late Roy and Ethel Cox Gilkison.
Thelma retired from Holzer medical Center after 33 years of service. She was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church and attended the First Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by: 1 sister and brother in law Lelia and Francis Johnson of Gallipolis. 1 Niece, Judy (Lawrence) Burdell of Bidwell, 4 Great Nieces and nephews, Jill (Todd) Breyfogle of Thurman, David Burdell of Bidwell, Brad (Lynn) Burdell of Palmdale, CA. and Harold (Robin) Burdell of Warren, MI. 7 Great Great Nieces and Nephews, Jacob Breyfogle, Tina, Tylina,and Austin Burdell,Evan, Brandon and Dustin Burdell.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM. Monday october 31, 2005 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home with pastor Bob Fulton officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 5-8 PM.
