Michael Dwayne Proctor Sr., age 59, of Bidwell, died Wednesday Dcecember 14, 2005 at his residence. Born March 8, 1946 in Portland, Ohio, he was the son of the late William and Garnet Baker Proctor. In addition to his parents he was preceded by 2 brothers: Thomas and David Proctor. He was a retired truck driver, and a United States Army Veteran. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish.

He is survived by his Former Wife: Kay Jean Proctor of Louisville; Daughter: Kristine L. (Rick) Edwards of Minerva; Son: Michael Dwayne Proctor Jr. (Fiance' Norma Ward) of Louisville, Ohio; 2 Step Children: Kevin A. Parks of East Rochester, Ohio and Kathy L. Ferguson of Louisville, Ohio; 3 Grandsons: Brian M.,Bradley W., and James D. Soliday of Minerva; 4 Granddaughters: Katie Bowman, Jessica Proctor, Andrea 'Annie' Proctor of Canton, and Brittany Fornash of Minerva; 2 Step Grandchildren: Daniel Q. Parks and Alysia D. Ferguson; 1 Brother: Bill (Geri) Proctor of Gallipolis; 3 Sisters: Elizabeth 'Ann' Hemsley of Kingston, Bertha 'Helen' Boyce of Pt. Pleasant, and Beverly 'Lynn' Taylor of Minerva; Special Friend: Billy Ray Tabor of Gallipolis; Several Nieces and Nephews.

A memorial service will be 4:00 P.M. Friday December 23, 2005 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home, with Rev. Ralph Workman officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 P.M. until time of service. Military Funeral Honors will be presented at the funeral home by the Gallia County Veterans Organizations. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the family.
