James Aubrey Kemp MD., age 76, of Gallipolis, died Wednesday December 21, 2005 at his residence. Born January 30, 1929 in Augusta, Georgia, he was the son of the late William C. and Viola Blevins Kemp. In addition to his parents he was preceded by his wife Emily Blanche Webb Kemp.
He was a retired physician from the Medical Plaza in Gallipolis. He also formerly taught at the Medical College of Georgia, The Medical University of South Carolina, and at the Marshall University School of Medicine.
He received his BS. From the University of Georgia; His MD. from the Medical College of Georgia. He did his post graduate training, (Residency) at the Medial College of Georgia and also in the U.S. Public Health Service.
He is survived by:

Dr. Judith Dianne Kemp of Belpre
Dr. Ernest Brian (Susan C.) Kemp of Knoxville, TN.
Mae Kathryn Kemp (Jeff Sauers) of Mooresville, NC.
2 Grandchildren: Elizabeth and Henry Kemp
1 Brother: Barney Kemp of Huntsville, AL.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM. Friday December 23, 2005 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Pastor Alvis Pollard officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 AM. until the time of service.
People may choose to make a donation to The Gallia County Animal Welfare League, or to the charity of their choice.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Dr. Gene Abels, Dr. Gerald Vallee, Roger Broyles, Glen Litman, and Melissa Ann Ferrell.
