Virgie Marie Gillenwater, age 75, of Gallipolis, died Monday, February 6, 2006 at her residence. Born May 24, 1930 in West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Hark ‘Bud’ and Pearl Frye Mullins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by two sons, Roger and Jennings Gillenwater, by 5 brothers, Ed, Burgess, Arthur, Arnold, and Roosevelt ‘Buddy’ Mullins, and by 1 sister, Minnie Cline.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by:
Husband: Robert Gillenwater of Gallipolis
Son: James Richard (Debbie Lynn) Gillenwater of Gallipolis
Daughter: Debbie Ann Aker of Pt. Pleasant
9 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren, 4 Step Great Grandchildren
Sister: Ida Hagerman of Marion, OH.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM. Friday February 10, 2006 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home, with Pastor Willard Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-8 PM.
