1914 - 2003

Lowell M. Boston, age 88, of Gallipolis, died Thursday morning January 2, 2002, at Scenic Hills Nursing Center. Born March 10, 1914 in Gallia County, he was the son of the late Harry and Clemma Cox Boston. In addition to his parents he was preceded by his wife Gladys M. Kirby Boston, who he married June 11, 1951 and who preceded him on September 24, 1971.

Lowell was a World War II Army Veteran and a retired factory worker.

He is survived by: 1 Step-Son: Tommy Burns of Columbus, 1 Brother: Buell Boston of Columbus, 2 Sisters In Laws: Louise Kirby and Sallie Kirby both of Gallipolis. Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday January 5, 2003 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday one hour prior to services. Military funeral honors will be presented at the cemetery by the Gallia County Veterans Organizations.

I would like to offer my condoleces to the family of Lowell Boston. He was my fathers first cousin and spoke of him often when I was younger. My father was Dexter, Bill Bostons son. I am doing a family history on the Bostons and would will add the information provided in the obitiuary. Again, my prayers are with all of Lowell's family. Jacque (Boston) Woolley
