Samuel Henry Hutchinson, age 89, passed away Saturday July 1, 2006 at the Columbus Rehabilitation and Subaccute Institute, where he had been a resident for many years. He was born September 22, 1916 in Ashland, KY., the oldest of eight children born to Henry and Nancy Cara Moore Hutchinson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by three brothers, Malachi Hutchinson, Harry Henderson Hutchinson, and George Lincoln Hutchinson, two sisters, Ruth Gladys Hunt, and Naomi Bivens.
Samuel was a retired farmer.
He is survived by two sisters, Nancy Hutchinson Curtis of Columbus, and Jessie Mae (Adam) Payne of Thurman, and by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM. Thursday July 6, 2006 at Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. Calvin Minnis officiating. Burial will follow in Corinth Baptist Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 10:00 AM. Until the time of service.
