Virginia Etta (Naylor) Chambers
Virginia Chambers, age 79, of Patriot, ‘went to be with the Lord’ on Wednesday august 9, 2006 at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis.
Virginia was born October 11, 1926, to the late Earl and Rena (Prunty) Naylor in Fayette County, WV.
She married Homer Fredrick Chambers on December 4, 1944 in Nitro, WV. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and several sisters and brothers.
Virginia is survived by three children, Charles (Lori) Chambers of Patriot, Betty Jo (Phil) Taylor of Columbus, and Cynthia Ann (James) Vickery of Chipley, FL. She also leaves nine grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and two-step great grandchildren, and one sister, Helen Richards of Charleston.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Gallia Baptist Church in Patriot.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM. Saturday August 12, 2006 at the Gallia Baptist Church with Pastor Cline Rawlins officiating. Burial will follow in the Gallia Baptist Cemetery. Friends may call at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home 810 2nd. Ave. Gallipolis on Friday from 5-8 PM. and at the church on Saturday one hour prior to services.
