Eileane Opal Johnson, age 84, of Crown City, died Wednesday September 27, 2006 at Holzer Medical Center in Jackson. Born June 6, 1922 in Gallia County, she was the daughter of the late George and Sylvia Phillips Mooney. In addition to her parents she was preceded by her husband, Elbin Johnson, and by 7 brothers and sisters, Dorothy, Eva, Helen, Alvie, Leroy, Fred, and Clifford.
Eileane retired from the Columbus State Hospital, and was a member of the Eureka Church of Christ.
She is survived by:
3 Children: Gerreld Johnson of Crown City
Juanita Stainer of Columbus
Emogene Casteel of Crown City
6 Grandchildren, and 10 Great Grandchildren
1 Brother: Garland (Pauline) Mooney of Worthington, OH.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM. Saturday September 30, 2006 at Providence Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery. Friends may call at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. and at the Church on Saturday one hour prior to services.
