Mary E. Roberts Moore, age 75, of Cheshire, died Thursday morning February 6, 2003 at her residence. Born September 1, 1927 in Gallia County, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Callie Mitchell Roberts.
She was a homemaker and lived in Cheshire most of her life. She was a member of The Gallipolis Emblem Club, The Ladies Auxiliary of The VFW, and The Little Kyger Ladies Aid.
She is survived by her husband Eugene F. Moore whom she married June 10, 1947 in Rodney, along with 3 Daughters and Son in laws: Charlotte 'Elliot' (Dennis) Bales of Gallipolis, Kathryn (Carson) Bennett of Hope Mills, NC, and Pamela (Spencer) Carey of Gallipolis; 4 Sons and Daughter in laws: David (Joyce) Moore of Cheshire, Steven (Loretta) Moore of Gallipolis, Otho (Tammy) Moore of Gallipolis and Howard Moore of Gallipolis; 15 Grandchildren, and 11 Great Grandchildren; 2 Brothers: Robert Roberts and Glen Roberts both of Gallipolis; 1 Sister: Sophia (Gordon) Swisher of Homosassa, FL.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday February 10, 2003 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home with Rev. Alfred Holley and Rev. Bob Fetty officiating. Burial will follow in Reynolds Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 5-8 P.M. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the charity of your choice in Mary's Memory.
