Alice Marie Seagraves, 70, of Johns Run Road, Grayson, Ky., died Monday morning at her residence, following an extended illness.

She was born July 8, 1932, at Denton, Ky., a daughter of the late Dennis and Essie Hutchison Berry.

Also preceding her in death was her husband, J.T. Seagraves, in 1999 and two sisters, Mable Adkins Mullins and Mildred Adkins.

She attended the Johns Run Tabernacle.

Her survivors include two sons, Dennis Seagraves of Grayson and Joe T. Jr. and Mindy Seagraves of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a daughter, Diana and Curt Steele of Grayson; seven grandchildren, Jamie Seagraves, Angie Seagraves, Jenna Jo Seagraves, Joe Don Seagraves, Jali Jo Seagraves, Nadalee Steele and Kerie Steele; one sister, Mary Tussey Class of Alexandria, Ky.; two brothers, George Robert "Bob" Berry of Denton and Virgil Lee Berry of Johns Run.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Delmar Rogers and Eddie Seagraves, ministers. Burial will be in the Blankenship Cemetery.

Friends may call Thursday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
