Ottilee L. Smitson, age 84, of Pickerington, Ohio, formerly of Carter County, Ky., was called home to be with the Lord, Friday, Oct. 11, 2002.
She was born July 29, 1918, in Carter County, and was a member of the Pleasant Valley Church who faithfully served the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Bertha Hollingsworth; her husband, Denzel D. Smitson; a son, Ronald D. Smitson; and a great-granddaughter, Rosa Ottilee Smitson.
Her survivors include a son, Donald H. (and Patricia A.) Smitson; a daughter-in-law, Janet L. Smitson; two brothers, James R. (and Jean) Hollingsworth and Jackie P. (and Loretta) Hollingsworth; a sister, Lorene (and Robert) DeLong; sister-in-law, Ruby Cook; five grandchildren, Donald R. (and Toni) Smitson, Ronald K. (and Nancy) Smitson, Richard L. (and Jane) Smitson, Pamela A. (and William E.) Melton, and Diana L. Cox; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with the Rev. Randy Binion, presiding. Burial will be in the Bentley Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday evening from 3 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
