Dr. Charles Russell Gresham, 74, of Grayson, died Friday at Kentucky Christian College following a sudden illness.
Dr. Gresham was born March 20, 1928, in Erie, Ill., a son of the late Fred E. and Sarah Duncan Gresham.
He was a professor of Christian Education and Bible at KCC for 28 years. He made many literary contributions to Christian quarterlies and contributed more than 6,000 volumes to Christian College Libraries. Dr. Gresham was a member of the Oak Grove Church of Christ and pastored at the Christian Church at Peytons Lick in Montgomery, Ky.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ruth Smith Gresham; two sons, Michael Gresham of West Chester, Ohio and Timothy W. Gresham of Abingdon, Va.; two daughters, Barbara Lynne Bundy of Oak Ridge, Tenn. and Janelda Mitchell of Versailles; and one brother, Robert Gresham of McPherson, Kan.
Also surviving are six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at Nash Chapel with Dr. Donald Damron and Dr. Keith Keeran. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to KCC.
Friends may call at Nash Chapel from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday.
