Minnie Moore Brainard, 71, of Rush, Ky., died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2002, in King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky., following an extended illness.
She was born Sept. 11, 1931, in Boyd County, Ky., a daughter of the late Jennings Bryant and Laura Blythe Moore.
She was a homemaker and was a member of Cane Creek Freewill Baptist Church and Cane Creek Women's Auxiliary.
Her husband, Theodore "Dick" Brainard, preceded her in death in 1991. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Moore.
Her survivors include three sons, Randy and his wife, Marie Brainard and Danny "Dee" Brainard, both of Rush and Jerry "Doc" Brainard of Grayson, Ky.; two daughters, Nancy and her husband, Tucker Williams of Ashland and Phyllis and her husband, Greg Bush of Rush; grandchildren, Rob Brainard of Shelbyville, Tenn., Josh Bush and Adam Bush, both of Rush, Brittany Griger of Grayson, Craig Utley and Chaney Brainard, both of Olive Hill, Ky., Teddy Brainard and Raymond Williams Jr., both of Ashland, Rachael Bush of Rush, Alicia Williams and Jamie Williams, both of Franklin, Tenn., and Crystal Cox of Huber Heights, Ohio; two brothers, John Moore of Ashland and Doug Moore of Erwin, Tenn.; and five sisters, Barb Berry of Rush, Florence Baucum of Olive Hill, Chattie Hill of Dayton, Ohio, Eunice Chapman of Bethel, Ohio, and Laura Kemper of Ashland.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson by Larry Garvin and Joe Hutchinson, ministers. Burial will be in Bates Cemetery in Rush.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 tonight and after noon Tuesday at the funeral home.
