John L. Carter, age 66, of Lambertville, MI, passed away Sunday, March 2nd, 2003 at the Flower Hospital in MI.

He was born March 15th, 1936, at Carter County, Ky., a son of the late Frank and Mary Damron Carter.

He was employed with General Mills for 39 and ½ years, retiring in 1996. John was a member and treasurer of the I.O.O.F. Lodge.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years:

He was preceded in death by a half sister, Sylvia Luman and half brothers, Curt and Delmar Carter.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 7th at 11:00am at the Malone Funeral Home, with John Newland, minister. Burial will be in the Cribbs Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday evening from 6-9 and Friday after 8:30am until service time at the funeral home. Condolences can be sent to www.timeformemory.com/malone

I wish to conyey my condolences to the family of John Carter who is my first cousin.His dad and my dad Osker Carter were brothers. I first met John at his dads funeral. I also met Willinia and Mahala there. I have seven sisters and two brothers that live around Huntington and Cattlettsburg, maby you remember some of us. sincerly your cousin, Dan Carter
