Gladys Edith Pennington, 81, of Webbville died Thursday at her residence following a long illness. She was born August 15, 1921 a daughter of the late Commodore and Rose Justice Porter. She was a homemaker and of Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband Lon Pennington Sr., a son Lon Pennington Jr., a daughter Matilda Pennington, one brother Lyndsey Porter, and two sisters Florence Sloas and Lorraine Henson. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday 2:00 p.m. at the Blaines Trace Enterprise Baptist Church by the ministers Russell Griffith and Enis Lewis. Burial will be in the Pennington Family Cemetery.
