Gladys B. Prichard, age 90, of Grayson, KY, died Wednesday, Sept. 3rd, 2003, at her residence, following an extended illness.
She was born July 4th, 1913 at Carter City, KY a daughter of the late Dempsey and Mae Kiser Burton.
She was a former Carter County School Teacher of 35 years. Her early years of teaching were at Olive Hill and Spicey School. She then taught several years at Prichard School. She was very involved with her church, Bagby Memorial United Methodist Church, was a member of the Grayson Women’s Club and was active in the Carter County Teachers Association.
Gladys married the late Hobart Nipp in 1933 and in 1961 she married Curt Prichard who preceded her in death in 1993. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Ralph Burton of Middletown, OH and Clyde Burton of Riverside, CA and 2 sisters, June Erwin of Waverly, OH and Mallie Revels of Jacksonville, FL.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Sept. 6th, 2003 at 10:00am at the Malone Funeral Home by Dr. Donald Damron. Burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery in Olive Hill, KY.
