Edsel  TowlerEdsel Towler, age 83, of Ashland, KY went to be with the Lord, Monday, January 12th, 2004, at his residence.

He was born March 21, 1920 at Coalton, KY a son of the late Orville “Jolly” and Ada Woods Towler.

He was a retired Pipe fitter, WW II Navy Veteran, member of the D.A.V., Plumber & Steam Fitters Union and a member of the Cannonsburg 1st Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death was a son, Michael Wayne Towler; a stepson, John Fisher and 2 brothers, James Towler and Harold Towler.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, January 15th, 2004 at 2:00pm at the Malone Funeral Home with Stan Williams, minister. Burial will be in the Coalton Community Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday, January 14th, after 1:00pm until 9:00pm.

I wish to express my sincere condolences to Ruth and all of her family, also to Patti Towler and all of the TOWLER family on the passing of Edsel. May all the wonderful memories that his family have of him be a comfort during the time of sorrow.

Judy, Thanks for your condolences re: my grandmother. I know your grandfather was such an important part of your life, and remember his memories are always a part of your life, and Praise God for the assurance of seeing him again some day. Sometimes I feel this is the only thing that keeps me going is God's promises. Hang in there. You are truly a special friend.

I was saddened to learn of Edsels passing. Pearl and I had talked about him just a few days ago. We both had fond memories of the family. Edsel was an encourager to me while I worked for Jim at the Star 60. Be assured we will pray for you during these days of grief. Bob Burton
