Linda Isabel Holbrook, age 57, of Carter City, Ky., went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, Jan. 27th, at her residence, following an extended illness.

Mrs. Holbrook was born January 8th, 1947, at Newcomb, KY, a daughter of Norma Stephens Boggs Thornsberry of Sandy Hook, Ky. and the late Arthur Boggs.

Preceding her in death was a brother, Donald Boggs.

She was a cancer survivor for 18 years and was a member of the Carter County Cancer Support Group and American Cancer Society. An avid seamstress, she donated quilts to the Carter Family Resource Center and was a committee member for the Boy Scout Troop #171.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 30th, 2004, at 1:00pm at the Malone Funeral Home, with Bud Burnett, minister. Burial will be in the Boggs Family Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday evening from 6-9pm at the funeral home.

Beth, So sorry to hear about your mom. I lost my mom to cancer over 8 years ago, and I know how hard it is to give them up.
