Lewis Kitchen Jr., age 79, of Hitchins, KY, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, Feb. 19th, 2004, in Cabell Huntington Hospital at Huntington, WV.
Mr. Kitchen was born June 27th, 1924, at Music, KY, a son of the late Lewis and Golda Tussey Kitchen.
He was retired from General Refractories Hitchins Division, was the operator of Kitchen’s Radio/TV and was an ordained minister in the First Church of God (Anderson, IN).
He was a member of the Princess Chapel, was active with Nursing Home Ministries along with a Radio Program and was an active Hospital Associate Chaplin for area hospitals.
Preceding him in death was his wife of 52 years, Marjorie Ashley Kitchen in 1998; a daughter, Vivian Lee Kitchen in 1943; 1 sister, Ruth Stewart in 1988; 1 brother, Leslie Kitchen in 1966; 1 grandson, Nathaniel Reeves in 1983 and a half-brother, Charles Stewart.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Feb. 23rd, 2004 at 11:00am at the Malone Funeral Home with Tommy Reynolds and James Harris Ministers. Burial will be in the East Carter County Memory Gardens. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6-9pm and Monday after 9:00am at the funeral home.
