Deloris Hammond, age 89, of Louisa, KY, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 11th, 2004, at Kings Daughters Medical Center.
She was born July 30th, 1914, at Johns Run, KY, a daughter of the late William Marcus and Dora Bays Cooke.
She was a retired School Teacher with Carter and Lawrence County School System and was a member of the New Friendship United Baptist Church in Lawrence County, KY.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Gordon Hammond; brothers, Claude Cooke, Herschell Cooke, Lawrence Cooke, Gary H. Cooke and a sister, Mabel Jaynes.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1:00pm at the Malone Funeral Home with John Goble, minister. Burial will be in the McDavid Cemetery. Friends may call Monday evening from 6-9pm at the funeral home.
