Opal Faye Campbell Newland, age 71, of Grayson, KY died Thursday morning, May 27th, 2004 in the Hospice Care Center in Ashland, KY.

She was born November 15, 1932, at Cherokee in Lawrence County, KY, a daughter of the late Millard and Cora Adams Campbell.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Pactolus United Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death was a grandson, Kenneth Lee Bradford; her sisters, Elsie Suttles and Pauline Suttles and infant sisters, Della and Emma Campbell, Nellie Campbell and Myrtle Louise Campbell; her brothers, Luther Campbell and Leroy Campbell and an infant brother, Leonard Campbell.

Her survivors include:

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, May 30th, 2004, at 2:00pm at the Malone Funeral Home with John Dean and Tom Riffe, ministers. Burial will be in the Kemper Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday evening, may 29th, 2004 from 6-9pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Community Hospice 1538 Central Avenue Ashland, KY 41101.
